Roman Catholic Church of All Saints
A former Franciscan monastery, today a Roman Catholic Church. Part of the decoration of the church are the stained glass windows of painter Nicholas Klimčák, a native of Humenne. This is a large one-nave structure with a polygonal sanctuary end. Construction of the church is in the Gothic style. It was built in the 15th century in honor of St. Boniface – martyr. Poor relics kept in the side chapel of St. John of Nepomuk in a glass display case.
Fountain of Love
It is a part of the renovated pedestrian zone. It is a sound and light water fountain located in the middle of the square. From spring to autumn the fountain regularly sings and in the evening it lights. There is a stage near the fountain.
Open-air museum
There is exposition of folk architecture in the park on an area of 4 ha. There’s a total of 15 objects. The dominant of the exhibition is a wooden church of the Eastern Rite St. Michael Archangel of Nová Sedlica, which is also the oldest part of the exposition. An interesting feature of the church is restored iconostasis and an altar. Originally, the temple was built without a single nail. It is the one of the national cultural monuments in Slovakia.
M. R. Štefánik
On the square reconstructed in 2000, M. R. Štefanik, whose larger than life-size statue was installed for the first time in 1934, has found a dignified place at the Time Brook and, in the nearby park there is a Thankfulness Memorial, reminding the joy of freedom after the Second World War.
Valaškovský most bridge
The Valaškovsky most bridge over the Laborec river in the Humenne town was built in 1900 by a technology similar to the one of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris. The iron constructional component parts were connected by clenches using a ,,hot” technology. During the World War I., Russian armies were running through the bridge. The bridge survived both world wars. Since 2012, the Valaškovsky most bridge has been the Bridge of love of the Humenne town.
The Church on Calvary
It was built in 1891 over the city. In 14 brick chapel tree-lined avenue are placed reliefs with scenes of the Calvary. Church is built in neoclassical style.
Statue of The Good Soldier Švejk
Literary character of czech writer Jaroslav Hasek, The Good Soldier Švejk, has undergone nearly a century of ,,his life“ almost the all world. Švejk´s author sent him on this trip because he took this journey by himself when he served in the Austria-Hungary Army. Since 6th October 2000 there is a statue of The Good Soldier Švejk at the railway station in Humenné, with a smile and inseparable pipe at the well from which a fictional character during the visit of Humenne drank “exquisite ferric water.” The author of the statue is Jaroslav Drotár, sculptor of Humenne. Historical data suggest that people were buried here since 1828. The cemetery is the oldest and largest cemetery in Slovakia. Prominent citizens of the town were buried here. As the first rabbi Jacob Spiro, whose remains were stored at this cemetery in 1873.
Statue of St. John Nepomuk
St. John Nepomuk is venerated as a martyr and patron of the seal of confession and as a patron from natural disasters and floods. His statues can be found in many places, mainly on bridges. He lived in the 14th century, and he was the general vicar of the Prague archbishop John of Jenštejn. He was tortured and thrown into the river from the Charles Bridge. Another version of the legend says he did not want to divulge the queen’s confessional secret. The original statue of St. John Nepomuk in Humenne was wooden and polychrom. She stood at the top of the square on the bridge over the Kudlovsky creek. Stone statue was created in 20th century and its author was a sculptor Ihricky./vc_column_text]

Gallery under the bridge
A non-traditional gallery of figures and dominants of the town, open 24 hours a day. It was established in August 2013 with writers from Slovakia and Czech Republic present. An extraordinary project of the Humenne town and Tomáš Orlej.
Renaissance mansion
The historical building of the Manor, built in the place of a former medieval Water Castle, is majestatic and charming dominant of the city centre. Its history is closely connected with the noble Drugeth family, originally Naples, who came to the territory of Slovakia with the King Charles Robert of Anjou. He donated the local estate to Phillip Drugeth in 1317 for his loyal services. Written sources mention the mansion in Humenne first time in 1449. A new construction period started after 1619, when the town and its close neighbourhood were conquered by Gabriel Bethlen. In the place of the old castle, the Drugeths, specifically Gabriel Drugeth, at the time a new Hungarian palatine, ordered the building of a large representative manor.
Today, the manor with four wings building with a central court in a semicircular arcades on the ground floor and courtyard. From the outside it was provided by massive square corner towers. It was originally completed in atika. Entry to the mansion is highlighted by the statues of lion and lioness on bases. Since the beginning of the 19th century, the mansion is associated with the noble family of Andrassy, Since 1971, the mansion is the residency of the Vihorlat Museum.

Vihorlat Museum
The seat of the Vihorlat Museum in Humenne is a restored Renaissance castle. It is a regional museum of history and nature.
Art History Exhibition
The Art History Exhibition will be set up in 18 rooms inside the Renaissance mansion. Genuine antique furniture and accessories serve to represent the taste in home decor cultivated by nobility from the age of Renaissance to the 20th century.
The rooms are decorated with oil paintings and portraits created by domestic and European masters of the 17th – 19th century, and accommodate collections of historic weapons, clocks, and eggshell china. Due to their illusive mural paintings, the rooms in the southern wing of the mansions ground floor are certainly most unique elements in this exhibition (the Ornament Room, the Room of Hungarian Kings, the Oriental Room). Part of the exhibition is furthermore the original restored palace fountain dating back to the 18th century, which is located in the inner courtyard in the mansions Eastern tract.
Sacral Exhibition
Part of the Sacral Exhibition is set up in the original premises of Virgin Mary Palace Chapel built in 1654. The exhibits shown represent sacral art such as paintings, sculptures, liturgical clothing, and liturgical ritual items. This exhibition was opened to the public in 2009.
Gallery Hall of Orest Dubay
The gallerys collection inventory comprises 1100 items in form of paintings, graphic works, and sculptures. A significant of the illustrative works has been created by national artist Orest Dubay. The museums gallery department focuses on presenting the works of artists related to the region by their activities or origin.
Natural History Exhibition
The original exhibition was set up in the museum in 1989. Following several rearrangements, the exhibition now presents the northern Slovakian faunas characteristic exponents for insects, birds, and mammals in their current form. This presentation of three-dimensional exhibits covers a surface area of 300 square meters. An extension to the exhibition is the presentation of our territorys geological samples of minerals, rocks, and fossils.
Exhibition of Folk Architecture (Open Air Museum)
The exhibition was erected from 1974 to 1982 and opened to the public in 1985. The collected exhibits present the popular and agricultural architecture of the Eastern Carpathian region. The most frequently used building materials are wood, stone, mud, and straw. The exhibition comprises fifteen objects. The wooden church St. Archangel Michael with its baroque wall of icons originating from the 18th century, originally from Nova Sedlica, is the prevailing building in this exhibition. The open air museum furthermore comprises agricultural buildings, a water mill, a blacksmiths shop, and part of the forest railway.
